The use of organic waste that is not optimal is an environmental problem in Samura Village, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency, while on the other hand, the farming community faces an increase in animal feed prices due to dependence on conventional proteins. This Real Work Lecture (KKN) activity aims to provide understanding and skills of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation to the people of Hamlet III Samura Village and open up new business opportunities through counseling, cultivation practices, inventory submission, and marketing support. The implementation methods include initial surveys and partner identification, maggot cultivation counseling, direct cultivation practices by students, submission of cultivation inventory to pioneer business partners (Mrs. Pristiwani), making banners as promotional media, and marketing strategy education so that products sell well in the market. The results of the activity showed the high enthusiasm of the community for counseling, the success of cultivation practices that went well in the climatic conditions of Kabanjahe, and the willingness of partners to run their businesses independently after receiving the inventory. Partners stated that maggot cultivation businesses are rarely found in the Kabanjahe area, so it is a promising business idea with low market competition and high demand for alternative feed. This activity contributes to the economic empowerment of the community, sustainable environmental management through the conversion of organic waste into products of economic value, and the growth of new entrepreneurs based on local resources at the village level.
