Analisis Tekno Ekonomi Pemasangan Variable Speed Drive pada Motor Turbine Cooling Air di PLTGU Muara Karang

PT PLN Nusantara Power Unit Pembangkitan Muara Karang merupakan pembangkit strategis yang memasok kebutuhan listrik vital di DKI Jakarta. Pada unit PLTGU, sistem Turbine Cooling Air (TCA) berperan menjaga temperatur udara pendingin blade turbin gas M701F. Gangguan berupa putus atau lepasnya fan belt motor TCA dapat menyebabkan fan tidak berputar meskipun motor tetap beroperasi, sehingga pendinginan blade menjadi tidak optimal dan berpotensi memicu runback pada unit. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kelayakan teknis dan ekonomi pemasangan Variable Speed Drive (VSD) pada motor TCA sebagai upaya mengurangi gangguan fan belt dan dampak kehilangan produksi. Metode penelitian meliputi analisis data operasi dan pemeliharaan selama sepuluh tahun, simulasi dinamik dilakukan dengan membandingkan pengasutan Direct on Line (DOL) dan VSD, serta analisis ekonomi menggunakan Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, dan Payback Period. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa VSD menurunkan arus maksimum dari 101,08 A menjadi 22,72 A atau sebesar 77,53%, serta menurunkan torsi maksimum dari 218,73 Nm menjadi 79,51 Nm atau sebesar 63,65%. VSD juga menghasilkan akselerasi yang lebih lembut dan menurunkan energi selama proses starting sebesar 80,29%. Secara ekonomi, investasi menghasilkan NPV sebesar Rp130.476.717,68, IRR sebesar 23%, dan Payback Period selama 2,53 tahun. Dengan demikian, pemasangan VSD dinilai layak secara teknis dan ekonomi untuk meningkatkan keandalan motor TCA serta mengurangi potensi kehilangan produksi.
