Pengaruh Tangga Nada dan Tempo Musik Terhadap Emosi yang Dirasakan dan Dipersepsi: Sebuah Studi Kuasi-Eksperimental

Studi ini meneliti pengaruh modus dan tempo musik terhadap emosi manusia. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan untuk memahami mekanisme spesifik elemen struktural musik, yaitu tangga nada dan tempo, dalam membentuk respons emosional pendengar, mengingat penelitian sebelumnya sering memperlakukan musik sebagai variabel tunggal tanpa mengurai kontribusi intra-musikalnya. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Skala Emosi Bahagia dan Sedih empat poin yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa sarjana. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Friedman diikuti oleh uji Wilcoxon. Hasil menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan di semua kombinasi modus dan tempo untuk emosi yang dirasakan, dipersepsikan, dan campuran (df = 15, p < 0,001). Temuan menunjukkan bahwa tangga nada dan tempo tidak secara independen memicu emosi, melainkan berinteraksi dalam membentuk respons emosional manusia terhadap musik, di mana perubahan terhadap variabel dependen terjadi ketika kedua variabel bebas muncul secara bersamaan—suatu kondisi yang disebut interaksi. Penelitian ini memperkaya pemahaman tentang mekanisme psikoakustik di balik respons emosional terhadap musik serta memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengguna musik untuk regulasi emosi di berbagai konteks kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk lingkungan kerja.
